It’s That Time Of The Year Again: Tent City Time!

If you are a TwiHard you are more than likely gearing up for the release of ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2‘. If you are like a super, duper, extreme case TwiHard you’ve already got the trunk of your car packed up and are planning your trip to Los Angeles to camp out for the red carpet premiere.

I have never done this, but I know thousands of you have because every year every movie blog with a knack for pulling in ‘Twilight’ readers posts about it almost daily. The internet is provided the opportunity to know every time someone puts up a new sign, brings in a new life size cardboard cut out, or the line grows by a new group of fans.

This year Summit has taken matters into their own hands, and it’s not quite as easy to go be first in line any more. In fact while some fans may be upset about this, I personally think it’s about time every one gets a fair shot. Here’s how the camp out is going to work:

  • Phase 1: Fan Camp Registration (10/13 – 10/15)
  • Phase 2: Fan Camp Drawing
  • Phase 3: Fan Camp Ticket Notification (10/16)
  • Phase 4: Fan Camp Check-in (11/8)

What this means is each fan must individually register themselves to be entered in the camp ticket drawing. 1,200 tickets will be given out at random and will include a designated check-in time for November 8th. The site very specifically states that no fans who arrive before November 8th will be recognized or included in the fan camp. It also is adamant about the fact that ticket holders risk disqualification from the fan camp. Ouch.

You can read more details about the fan camp out rules and regulations at the official BD2Premiere.com site. A link for fan camp registration will go up on 10/13 at exactly 12PM PDT. Good luck, TwiHards!
