Remembering 9/11

Everyone knows what today is, what it represents, and how it affects each and every one of us. Everyone has their own memory, their own story, and their own feelings regarding today and each person handles it differently.

Last year on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 I took my first trip to World Trade Center and shared my photographs with you. I decided last year that from there on out instead of posting pictures of the horror and the damage we witnessed over a decade ago that I would post where we are now. We have come so far not only as a country but also in the re-creation of the World Trade Center with the Freedom Tower, and it is turning into a very beautiful new addition to our skyline.

Today, in honor of 9/11 and the lives lost on that day and since in it’s honor, here are some options to partake in:

Donate Blood: Find your nearest blood bank/donation center and help save lives in the future by giving a donation.

9/11 Memorial: Find ways to volunteer, donate financially, and get involved on the official 9/11 Memorial site.

Also, make sure to give your loved ones a big hug and remind them how much you love them today. This is something that should be done every day but we tend to forget and take those moments for granted, so use today as an excuse to spread some love.

Never forget.
